How to Upload and Set Up the Elomus Shopify Theme

This tutorial will guide you through the process of uploading the Elomus Shopify theme to your store, including setting up demo images and products to make your store look like the theme demos.

Step 1: Download and Unzip the Main Theme File

  1. Download the Main Zip File: After purchasing the Elomus theme from ThemeForest, download the main zip file to your computer.

  2. Unzip the Main File: Extract the contents of the downloaded zip file. This will create a folder containing all the required files.

Step 2: Choose and Upload Your Theme

  1. Navigate to the 'demo-all-themes' Folder: Inside this folder, you'll find zip files for different skins available for the Elomus Shopify theme.

  2. Select the Desired Theme: Choose the skin that you want to use and find its corresponding zip file.

  3. Upload to Shopify:

    • Log in to your Shopify admin.

    • Go to 'Online Store' > 'Themes'.

    • Click 'Upload Theme' and choose the zip file of your selected skin.

    • After the upload, click 'Actions' > 'Publish' to make this theme your store's live theme. This is an optional step and we recommend to keep your theme unpublished while you're setting it up.

Step 3: Upload Demo Images

  1. Locate the 'demo-images' Folder: In the unzipped main file, find the 'demo-images' folder.

  2. Upload Images to Shopify:

    • From the 'demo-images' folder, select the images shown.

    • In your Shopify admin, go to 'Settings' > 'Files' and upload these images.

  3. Upload Specific Demo Images:

    • If you're setting up a specific demo (e.g., the smartwatch demo), open the corresponding folder in 'demo-images'.

    • Upload these images to the 'Files' section in your Shopify admin as well.

Step 4: Preview Your Theme

  • After uploading the images, go back to 'Online Store' > 'Themes'.

  • Click 'Actions' > 'Preview' on your new theme to see how it looks.

Step 5: Import Demo Products (Optional)

  1. Find the 'products_export_separate' Folder: In the unzipped main file, locate this folder.

  2. Import Products to Shopify:

    • In your Shopify admin, go to 'Products'.

    • Click 'Import' and choose the relevant file from the 'products_export_separate' folder.

    • Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the import.

Step 6: Create Relevant Collections

  1. Create Collections in Shopify: Based on the theme's demo you're setting up, create collections to organize your products.

  2. Add Products to Collections:

    • Go to 'Products' > 'Collections' in your Shopify admin.

    • Create new collections or edit existing ones, adding the imported demo products.

Finalizing the Setup

Once you've completed these steps, your Shopify store should now reflect the look and feel of the Elomus theme demo you chose. Make sure to preview the theme and check that all elements, including images and products, are displaying correctly.

Feel free to customize the theme further to suit your brand and preferences. The Elomus theme offers various customization options to make your store unique.

The videos provided below are tutorials for an earlier version of our product. While many of the steps remain consistent, there are some differences to be aware of. Please note that we are currently in the process of updating and re-recording our documentation to align with the features and functionalities of our latest version 4.

Demo store Setup

In order to setup the demos you need to unzip the theme folder downloaded from themeforest. All the relevant files can be found there. First you'd be required to upload the theme zip file and then the relevant demo images and product data in order to setup an exact demo copy.

Theme zip contain a folder 'Full Demos.zip' which contains complete theme copies. Select your desired demo zip file, upload to your store and it will setup the whole theme for you without editing the setting files.
